Rituals and Advertising

Hey guys,

this a commercial I saw some days before "Motherday" this May. It is in German - so to summarize it is about a small child expressing how much she loves her mother, yet she is unable to tell because she cannot speak yet.
At the end of the viedeo (screenshot) there is a link that brings you to a NIVEA page where you can send thank you-wishes to your mother. This commercial really reinforces the brand heritage of NIVEA and was quite appealing to me, especially because they are not trying to sell a product or place their product in the ad. I think it is a very smart way to build on a ritual.

Rituals and Advertising

Hey guys,
Hope you all have a great weekend!
Tomorrow Shili and I will going to talk ritual and advertising.
Some of you might have a wonderful Halloween party this week, and there is the upcoming Thanksgiving.
So I want to you to share your own experience about how rituals related to advertising and how advertising influences the ritual behaviors.
It is not a compulsive assignment, but I would be very appreciate if you can post a link of a video or any examples of your purchase experience by midnight.
You could also think about it and ready to discuss tomorrow in the class.
