intro: Brandon Clear

Hello my fellow graduate students I hope the semester has jumped off to a great start, and I apologize for the late introduction I was unaware of this portion of the blog assignment. My name is Brandon Clear, and my journey to this prestigious University is a long one but a path with profound lessons along the way. I am a transfer and graduate of Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina, where I received a degree in Marketing. I was fortunate enough to attain my degree in 3 and ½ years while playing a division one sport, which was extremely time consuming but overall rewarding. I first knew about the University of Illinois from my father, who attended the university in the 70s as a collegiate athlete. After graduating from Clemson I knew that my heart was truly in advertising, and wanted to find a place that would allow me to flourish in my potential future within the ad industry, and also develop a deeper understanding of the concepts that make-up advertising as a whole. So based on my values and goals I believed the University of Illinois would be a great fit. I truly hope to get to know each of you during our grad school time, and know that success is inevitable for us all through hard work.
