From the video, the term "Synaesthesia" seems as a magic. When I am trying to recall whether this cross-sensations feeling ever come to me, as Nami said, I also sense the color with the feeling. For example, the red represents danger or green means safe.
It is intersting that the special feeling may not only occur in human being, but also it happens in the nature.
Genarally, the toxicophidia (snake with venom) is perceived much colorful or brightness than the normal innocua snake. The picture(left) is a venom one, and the right is the innocua snake. The redness signals a warn to other creatures and predators that "I am poisonious !! stay away from me!"
Furthermore, some smart snakes will protect themselves by disguising with colorful appearance. This trick sometime could help them frighten away the predators and stay safe.
In this sense, the animals'perception of the color also combines with the feeling or judgement, which is known as "Synaesthesia".
