Well, but driving is when I experience a mish-mash of senses - sound, color, vision -It can get overwhelming.
When I see red (at the stop light), I almost expect cops to stop me because I am expecting "danger". Funnily, when I see cops, I see visions of black and blue (No pun intended!) And yellow for some reason, reminds me of little kids.
And then there are sounds, not so much here but in India we honk for the following reasons:
1. No reason
2. "Greetings"
3. "I am right behind you"
4. "I am overtaking you"
5. "Hey pedestrian, I am driving right towards you, Move it"
All of this is communicated by different kinds of unique honking patterns often coupled with "waving" gestures. :P
This is as far as I go in terms of my experience with Synaesthesia and I din't even know earlier that there was a name for what I experience everyday.
PS: Despite all this, I do drive well. No driving tickets till now, whatsoever. (Ok Ok, a warning doesn't count!!)
