U by Kotex and the Prius family

I really like this commercial because it (finally) points out how absurd most tampon commercials are. Wearing white, twirling, and dancing on the beach are all NOT things women think of when they think of getting their periods. I feel like this appeals to the more level-headed consumer and is definitely trying to appeal to women around my age (based on content, spokesperson used, etc.).

On the other hand, this commercial REALLY creeps me out. It's an interesting way to portray the concept of family and the idea that all the types of Priuses are integrated with one another (as well as a weird portrayal of anthropomorphism), but I find it creepy to watch. As a consumer concerned with the environment, as well as one whose parents both drive Priuses, I feel like it is trying to appeal to the younger generation involved with the green movement and what is better for the earth. While in terms of gas emissions, Priuses are fantastic, this commercial really turns me off to the newer Prius models such as the one that plugs in.
